“Ceremony is how we remember to remember.”

~ Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer

The Vernal or Spring Equinox is cross quarter day when the time of daylight and night come into a harmonizing time of power and balance. Equinox ‘eqi’ ‘nox’ translated from Latin means ‘equal night.’ It is a time of emerging from the burrows we have holed ourselves up in over winter. Times of seasonal transition offer a liminal space and one that we would be wise to reflect in and still ourselves with some deep breaths and attunement to the earths energies and magic of this time.

The vernal equinox heralds the first day of spring and is a time of awakening of what the mystic and healer Hildegard of Bingen called ‘Veriditas’ the greening force. Veriditas or greenness is the rejuvenating and spiritual force of the divine feminine in nature. Mother Earth and the season of spring is her tender unfurling of this life force and the activation of this energy in the Western Hemisphere. As the greening force is awakening around you and underneath your feet, it is also awakening inside of you and is something you can actively cultivate within your body and soul.

You are invited to join us at the sacred heart of community as we entrain to the energies of the season through intention, ritual and embodiment practices as we awaken and draw in the greening force into our bodies and souls.

This is a Pay From the Heart donation ritual. Part of the proceeds will support United Plant Savers. The work of United Plant Savers involves research, education and conservation of native medicinal plants, fungus and their habitats. No one turned away for lack of funds.
